Sekala Game Lodge Accommodation Rates & Specials

• Minimum stay two nights
• All Rates are quoted on a per person per night basis
• Maximum number of adults that can be accommodated per night is 10
• Our game vehicle is certified to carry a maximum of 10 persons

• Three meals per day (breakfast, light lunch & dinner)
• Two game drives per day in an open game vehicle
• Tea, coffee and snacks on morning game drive
• Sun downers and snacks during afternoon game drive

• Fully serviced luxury accommodation
• Transfers from Welgevonden Main Gate or either of the 2 runways to the lodge

• Welgevonden Reserve Conservation Levy which is charged over and above the rack rates and is subject to change
• Wines, spirits, mixers, beers and any cool drinks consumed will be for the account of the guest
• Transfers between lodges

• 0-4 years: Free but are not allowed on the main game drives unless your group books the whole lodge. We can arrange 1 hour game drives after breakfast on request
• 5-11 years: 50% of adult rate if share a room with two adults
• 12-17 years: 80% of adult rate
• Please note that although the lodge is fenced all children must be supervised at all times. The 2 swimming pools are both unfenced and do not have covers

• A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm a reservation and the full payment is required 2 weeks prior to arrival
• All extras may be settled at the lodge

• In the unfortunate event that guests have to cancel their booking then the following cancellation policies apply:
  • No Cancelation fee if guests cancel their booking 30 days or more before arrival
  • Between 30 days and 14 days before arrival – 50% of the full cost of booking will be forfeited
  • 14 days or less before arrival – 100% of the full cost of the booking will be forfeited

Guests will be picked up between 12h30-13h00 on the date of arrival at the Welgevonden Main Gate or at one of the Welgevonden airstrips for a complimentary transfer to the Sekala Private Game Lodge.

The transfer will depart the main gate at 1:15pm and any guests arriving thereafter will need to arrange a separate transfer as the lodge is 45 minutes from the gate.  Please note that the additional transfers need to be booked and are by prior arrangement only, it will be additional charge of R1000.

Guests missing the collection transfer may be required to wait at the main gate for up to an hour and a half extra until the vehicle returns. Please arrange with the lodge for a separate transfer so we can minimize any wait times.

Check-out from the lodge and departure back to the Main Gate is at 11:00am.

• Transfers and flights to Welgevonden Game Reserve can be arranged by our reservations office if required.
• There are 2 airstrips at Welgevonden for use of air transfers or private flights.
• The Western Airstrip is located conveniently close to Sekala Private Game Lodge.

• Sekala has its own helipad located conveniently at the lodge.

• Guests are required to arrange their own full comprehensive travel insurance including medical in case of emergency evacuation from the lodge or reserve.
