Sekala Private Game Lodge is exclusive luxury safari lodge accommodation (Malaria Free) within the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, which is home to the Big Five and is found within the Waterberg Biosphere, just two hours north of Pretoria and three hours from OR Tambo Airport.

Guests look forward to uninterrupted early morning sun rise vista off the main deck, while having a coffee to awaken the senses. The bush comes alive on your early morning game drives and it is not uncommon to see Lion or Elephant just a stone’s throw from the game viewing vehicle going through their early morning routines.

Sekala offers full board breakfast, light lunch and dinner, including a welcoming drink as well as drinks and snacks on game drives. Tea, coffee and water are available at all times. Other drinks are for your account. You can see a wide variety of game at our private watering hole from the lodge, or walk down to our hide to view the animals up close. In the evening, just imagine a night under the stars.

We can create a bespoke experience as the guest requires whether it is to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, proposals, honeymoons or any other special occasions. For groups taking the whole lodge (10 persons) we can arrange with you, bush walks, night in the bush under the stars, photographic special etc.
