Understanding the Booking Process

Understanding the complete booking process at Sekala Private Game Lodge helps ensure a smooth journey from initial inquiry to your arrival at our luxury safari accommodation in the heart of Welgevonden Game Reserve.

Inquiry Stage

  • Submit your initial inquiry via our website or email
  • Our reservations team will check availability for your requested dates
  • We'll respond with accommodation options and applicable rates
  • Special requirements or requests are discussed at this stage

Provisional Booking

  • Upon your decision to proceed, we'll create a provisional booking
  • A detailed quote will be sent outlining all costs
  • The provisional booking is typically held for 7 days
  • No obligation during this provisional period

Confirmation

  • To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit of the total accommodation cost is required
  • Deposit payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card
  • Upon receipt of deposit, you'll receive a booking confirmation
  • Your accommodation is now guaranteed for your selected dates

Pre-Arrival

  • Full payment is required 4 weeks prior to arrival
  • Our team will contact you to arrange payment of the balance
  • You'll receive pre-arrival information including:
    • Directions to Welgevonden Main Gate (straight off main road, no dirt road)
    • What to pack suggestions
    • Transfer timing from the main gate
    • Any final details regarding special requests

Arrival

  • On your arrival day, proceed to Welgevonden Main Gate
  • Aim to arrive at the gate by 1:00 PM
  • Your Sekala ranger will meet you at the gate
  • Transfer to the lodge in our game viewing vehicle (this is an additional game drive separate from morning/evening drives)
  • Light lunch on arrival at lodge
  • Welcome to Sekala Private Game Lodge!
